Sorry to post again, we still haven’t decided on a name for our little girl due imminently. We’ve ruled out lots and think we’re now settled on either Sophie or Eleanor. Which would you vote for?

Both are lovely and Sophie Eleanor is gorgeous.

I have a slight preference for Eleanor, it's a very historical name.

Eleanor of Aquitaine was a phenomenal woman, as was Sophie Scholl.

Both are lovely but my favourite is Sophie, as that's my name! Hehe 🥰

Whatsyourflava · 09/04/2020 09:55

Has it helped you make a decision @newtothis20

Don’t leave us hanging 🤣

Hello! Yes it has, I love both and it looks like it’s pretty equally divided. However we’re going to go with Sophie. Thank you Smile

Ah I was just coming on to say Sophie. Lovely choice. Congratulations

HopScotchHop · 09/04/2020 12:25

Beautiful. 🎀

Spidey66 · 09/04/2020 12:26

Both are lovely, but Eleanor has the edge for me.

Spidey66 · 09/04/2020 12:26

Ok I've seen you've gone for Sophie, both names are gorgeous.

emmathedilemma · 09/04/2020 12:53

Eleanor

My 7 year old is Eleanor Cara. We have never shortened it and neither has anyone else. She started school with 4 Sophies in her class/year! I adore her name!

FizzyGreenWater · 09/04/2020 13:59

Ah yes Sophie is better. Eleanor's lovely, but right now any El- name is overused massively - you can't move for Ellies!

Sophia seems a LOT more common than Sophie at the moment, and I like that a lot less for some reason.

Umnoway · 09/04/2020 14:25

Eleanor but I like Sophie too, I think it’s rather inoffensive and unlikely to ever go out of fashion. Both names are timeless really.

Jossina · 09/04/2020 15:48

Eleanor definitely.

Lexijayde44 · 09/04/2020 19:47

I love both. Very pretty. I have a niece called Sophie and my friends got an Eleanor. She has been called Ella from the start though.

123Dancewithme · 09/04/2020 23:36

Eleanor
