Rare/unique baby boy names?

charliem20 · 25/03/2020 17:07

My partner and I are struggling to find a name for our baby boy that we can both agree on. We agree on the fact that we don't want it to be a name that's in the top 50.
I love more modern names.
Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot 😊

If you want unique you'll need to make one up.

Or, if you want something more modern, you could go with something like Xavier. The only thing about unique names is that, depending on your area, they may not be unique. I once introduced two people who both had a son named Atticus to each other.

I've always wanted Basil but can't think of any NN other than Bas which I hate. I'm pretty sure basils not in top 50

Jossina · 25/03/2020 22:22

@allaboardthesinkingship depending on how you pronounce Basil, the nn could be Bay or Baz. Or B.J. if the middle name starts with J.

I love the name Atlas, but I can't get my SO on board. Might try to slide it in as a middle name

Ernie? Modern twist/nn for Ernest. However could be a name as it stands.
Lochlan/Locky
Teddy/Theodore/Edward I know these are in or around the top 50 but it depends on geography where I live there isn’t a single child with these names that I know of. Excessive amounts of Reubens, Oscars, Georges and Charlie’s though.

Abit more out there:
Fox
Wolf
River
Beau
