Please let me know your thoughts on my shortlist....

Already have DS1 called Isaac

Love Isaac

My thoughts..

Freddie - I'm just not a fan. I actually quite like Frederick, it sounds very strong and handsome but Freddie makes me think of a whiny, overweight, obnoxious kid. I have no idea why, it just does

Joel - really lovely name, understated. Isaac and Joel sound lovely together too.

Max - it's OK, I just find it a bit blah tbh

Elliot - I like it, though prefer the Elliott spelling

Jack - love Jack but would never use as its too popular for me. Would be nice as a middle name

Leo - I'm really bored of Leo, I just know so many that it has lost its spark for me

Jack, Max ok not keen on others

Joel is my favourite, I like the sound of it and it's unusual without being unheard of.

I also like Leo, it's very popular now but don't let that put you off if you love it.

Elliott is nice but I would probably avoid it because of the different spellings.

I like Max, again quite popular but for a reason.

Jack is ok but I think it's overused and a bit boring.

I don't like Freddie.

Hate hate hate Joel.

Elliott and also are my favs from your list...

Like them all but love Joel.

Mack?

They're all nice. I would avoid Freddie if you're not keen on Fred, I know two Freddie's who have now become Fred. I probably like Leo and Joel best.

Or there's always Leon?

All the names are ok. Isaac and Joel a bit too OT.

Isaac and Elliott sound like siblings.

LOVE Leo or Elliot
Strongly dislike Joel - too downmarket sounding. Name of a DJ off geordie shore that went down on his girlfriend in front of a room full of people 😆

I like all of them except Freddie and Leo although just in comparison with other options

Freddie: so-so as a nickname, horrible as a full name
Joel: never liked it, though might be okay if you call him Jo
Max: prefer it as a nickname, but it's nice
Elliot: fine
Jack: love it as a nickname
Leo: nice as a nickname

I like your list. All good names but Joel stands out to me. Particularly with Isaac. Elliot works very well too. Felix would sit well in that list too.

Love Leo and Freddie

I like Elliott followed by Jack.
For some reason I find Joel a mouthful, it doesn’t flow when I say it.
Freddie is just too twee and nicknamey.
I’m not a fan of Leo.

From your list I like elliot and Joel most. I think isaac and elliot go really nicely together x

So Max is my absolute favourite but it's quite popular now
