Avonlea?

Might just be my hormones but I recently have been obsessed with the possibility of having a little girl named Avonlea.
It's a fictional literary place name from Anne of Green Gables but it sounds like it would fit so well with all of the other vowel girls names with v sounds ( i.e. Olivia, Ava, Evie)
DH said he'd consider it if we could find a cute middle name for it so send some suggestions. We both prefer short middle names as our last name is quite long.

It sounds like a new build Barrat estate in Tamworth or something.

Oh I adore Anne of Green gables so I knew it was related to that as soon as I saw it!

I read on mumsnet somewhere that at some point towards the end of the pregnancy, you will come up with the perfect original name for your baby, it may even come to you in a dream. The advice - do not under any circumstances go with it!! I think you've happened upon such a name op 😉

The sounds are pretty but I couldn't stand going through life with every person saying 'Anne of Green Gables' back to me. It's so obvious what it is that it's painful - and best left in the book I think. I agree with pp that Cordelia is a better choice if you want to reference the book.

Just to add, I do think it would make a nice middle name, eg Lily Avonlea, Phoebe Avonlea.

Sorry OP but it is awful. Can you imagine if the short version of your name was Avon (which is what she’ll undoubtedly be called when she gets to school).
