Baby girl with no name!

My daughter (number 2) was born a week ago and we still don't have a name for her! I feel like a really bad mum but we just can't agree on anything.

DH wants Charlotte but, though I like it, it doesn't grab me and seems a bit unimaginative?? I like Niamh, Thea, Matilda, Emilia and Maya but he's not too keen on any of these.

We seem to be at an impasse, can anyone come up with something we can both agree on??

Charlotte was on our shortlist. The rest of them were Harriet, Eleanor, Caitlin, Evelyn and Alexandra. Others to consider that I think work with Georgia: Abigail, Kathryn, Amelia, Erica, Sasha, Katrina

Thea and Matilda are both lovely, as is Charlotte.

I really love Charlotte. Have you got a new shortlist now @Aintlifelikethat

Aintlifelikethat · 02/02/2020 13:11

Aaaargh! It's so hard. Thank you so much for all the suggestions. I'm swaying towards Charlotte Emilia now, it does seem to suit her and nothing else is grabbing me more but that seems a sad reason to choose a name!

OP, Charlotte Emilia is a beautiful, classic, timeless name.
If you and DH like it and it suits your DD then go for it,

OldFirstTimeMum · 02/02/2020 16:08

I like charlotte. Your husband obviously likes a traditional name so hour about florence? Nick name Flo. Or Constance - Connie. Traditional yet cute and fashionable now. Also Shiloh - from the bible and yet modern. Harper - reference to one of the best books ever written (to kill a mockingbird bird). There are so many good names... it has to match your surname too

OldFirstTimeMum · 02/02/2020 16:09

Charlotte Emilia is a great choice. Beautiful. She could become charlie or Lottie. Very cute
