So, we still haven't found 'the name' nothing has stuck out to us. We have been considering Grayson/Greyson, what are people's thoughts on this? And the the spelling? Is it like a fad name? We are open to suggestions!! The middle name will be Michael. Thank you in advance 🙂

I like Michael, but Grayson is dreadful, whichever way you spell it.
Jason is nicer.

MamaWeGotThis · 28/12/2019 12:04

I love the name Grayson, it was our boys choice but we had a girl Smile

Like Michael but think Grayson/Greyson is pretty awful.

misspiggy19 · 28/12/2019 12:49

Don’t like it at all.

confusedyoungthing · 28/12/2019 13:50

I think Greyson/Grayson is very handsome. I know of a little Grayson.

Both spellings are nice. I always opted for Grayson but I think I'm leaning more towards Greyson now, idk why.

diddlediddle · 28/12/2019 14:14

I don't think Greyson is a spelling in common usage. Grey on its own could be. Grayson is more typical and I think looks much nicer. Personally Grayson is a surname to me so Grey or Gray would be better.

IVflytrap · 28/12/2019 14:32

Dislike Greyson. When I hear it, I tend to think of it as a descriptive. As in, "here is my grey son". Grin Grey as a colour doesn't have the nicest associations.

I would also suggest Jason. You don't hear it much these days, and it's an ancient name with some cool stories associated with it (Jason and the Argonauts). Other suggestions:

David
Graham
Nathan
Logan
James
Xavier
Asa
Austin
Samson
Brandon
Heath
Evan

Have you heard of Grayson Perry...?

Thefaceofboe · 29/12/2019 15:37

I love greyson but it’s quiet American isn’t it (I’ve heard it on quite a few American shows)

I also like grey as nn

BobbyBlueCat · 29/12/2019 15:43

Grayson Perry.

Blackberrybunnet · 29/12/2019 15:58

Have never seen Greyson as a first name - only Grayson. I think it's horrible, but it does seem to be VERY popular just now. Look out, there are going to be quite a number of Grayson/Greysons in school in about 3 - 5 years or so.

FluffyEggsontoast · 29/12/2019 16:14

I love the names Grayson and Michael! Great choices. Could Michael be the first name or do you want it as middle.

I actually really like it. No help on the spelling though!

ParanoidGynodroid · 30/12/2019 00:25

I think it’s horrible, sorry OP.

Some are mentioning Grayson Perry, but it’s Larry Grayson that I’m reminded of!

MarthasGinYard · 30/12/2019 00:26

It's a surname

And very Larry

MarthasGinYard · 30/12/2019 00:27

It would be shortened to Gray and I'd presume he was Greame

MillicentMartha · 30/12/2019 00:28

Larry would be my first reaction!

Sushiroller · 30/12/2019 00:32

I like the sound of it but written it looks chavy (sorry!)
Micheal is a good middle name

Sushiroller · 30/12/2019 00:33

Michael* Even

BubblesBuddy · 30/12/2019 00:44

I know a South African called Grayson. No one thought it was an odd name there.

Sh0na · 30/12/2019 00:48

I knew a South African called Grayling and I hadn't heard that name before. I like Michael. Not many of them either. Grayson reminds me of Dyson. I thought of a Hoover and then had to think about why that was. What about Gregson. Just sounds more of a name and less of a hoover.

PrettyPurpleFeather · 30/12/2019 07:51

I think Grayson means son of Gregory.

MikeUniformMike · 30/12/2019 12:03

Grayling is a fish. It's also the surname of a politician nn Failing.

ballsdeep · 30/12/2019 12:10

Grayson is a non name IMHO.

Sh0na · 30/12/2019 15:50

Would that not be Gregson? Which I prefer to Grayson

Funny that the two well known Graysons (perry/larry) are/were a bit ambiguous in their gender/sexuality. Thats not why i prefer Gregson to Grayson. That's just pattern recognition!
