My grandfather was Vincent. I'd love to honour him if I had a boy

and why do some people have to use foul language , quite gratuitously, esp when discussing something as inoffensive and celebratory as the naming of a child. you can surely express your preferences without swearing. it is like being slapped suddenly by a stranger for no reason at all.

In that order. I'm really not keen on Reuben but like all the others. What about Victor? Similar to Vincent but I prefer it.

Vincent is a great strong name.

Rufus reminds me of a dog name too.
Reuben sounds like an oddball and Dominic is too drippy for me. He'd likely be called Nic without the k, I just don't like it.

Thanks so much for all the thoughts so far! Dominic seems to be the favourite and Rufus seems to really divide people - absolutely loved by some but really disliked by others! 😬

I like Vincent as it can be shortened to Vin or Vinnie

Rufus is gorgeous.
