Boys names are great, girls need work 😀

OddshoesOddsocks · 06/11/2019 22:35

Your boys names are very similar to mine! My list includes...

Henry
Louis
Cassius
Rafferty
Atticus
Reggie
.....and Kevin

Sadly DP doesn’t agree with the list.... he likes Edward.

I’m not so keen on your girls list tbh, Sadie and Saskia are nice. Not a fan on emmeline but do like Emma

Tillygetsit · 06/11/2019 22:35

My favourites are Rufus and Saskia. Lovely!

I love every name on your boy list - very much to my taste. Rufus and Magnus are 2 of my absolute favourite names.

Girls - I love Juno and Saskia. Zoe and Lara are nice enough too.

I like all of them with the exception of Rufus, George & Sadie.

Jonathan & Jonathon are both acceptable spellings.

MikeUniformMike · 08/11/2019 13:39

Jonathon looks wrong. The biblical name is Jonathan.

DramaAlpaca · 08/11/2019 14:54

Mike at least it's not Johnathan

MikeUniformMike · 08/11/2019 15:10

Both pretty bad IMO. Jonathan is great though.

Frith2013 · 08/11/2019 18:29

Rufus - ok
George - ok
Joel - meh
Magnus - nice
Jonathan/Jonathon (?) - dull
Henry - a train

Lara - ok
Juno - makes me think of do you know.
Emmeline - no
Sadie - ok
Zoe - ok

17caterpillars1mouse · 09/11/2019 22:04

Rufus - love it. It was our boys name for dc2 but we had a daughter

George - I find it a bit dull, probably as they are everywhere locally

Joel - I really like it, it has a classical feel but is quite uncommon

Magnus - really like it, we considered it but it clashed with our surname

Jonathan/Jonathon (?) - Jonathan. I k ow a year year old, goes by Johnny, and he is lovely. Great name

Henry - I love it but it's way too popular for me. Makes a great middle name though

Lara - really like it, classical, but fits in with the short names trend and I've always felt it sounds quite fiesty

Juno - dislike, seems faddy, will probably date

Emmeline - gorgeous name

Sadie - I like it but would prefer a longer full name, not sure what but not Mercedes

Zoe - not a fan

Saskia - I really like it

My favourites are Rufus or Jonathan and Lara

VenusClapTrap · 10/11/2019 08:41

Magnus and Lara

Auey · 10/11/2019 09:05

George and Emmeline are lovely

Stollen23 · 10/11/2019 09:26

I like Jonathan and Saskia.

I know a Magnus who gets called Mag, which I don't think is nice for a boy/man. Too close to Maggie.
