Boys name.... Robin or Hugo

Just wanted to get peoples thoughts on which of the two they prefer.... me and partner seem to have got down to a final two names for our baby due this month.

We don’t mind either but I prefer one and he prefers the other.

Which one do you like best?

Also open to suggestions of other names... already had Elijah, George, Henry, Elias, Harry, Louis and are now ruled out for various reasons .

Hugo sounds poncey/pretentious to me

I really like Robin. I don't know any little Robin's only adult ones so I like the fact tha it a bit more unusual

At the end of the day though you should choose whichever name you like.

I have a Robin... named him that as love the birds and they hold a special meaning for the family.

So far we have only come across other Robin's that are girls (with a y)

I still love Robin but it’s a vote for Hugo from me x

Both are horrible- sorry! At a push robin is the least offensive of the two. Hugo to me is a middle aged man.

Said I would update so just to let you know baby Hugo arrived this week (majority won in the end and it just suits him) abit later than expected.

Congratulations! I think I do like Hugo slightly better, but I love you for having considered Robin for a boy - it still feels much more boy to me.

Love them both, but prefer Robin. I don't think it's wet at all. It makes me think of the Carly Simon song - # His friends are more than fond of Robin...#
