Can I use the same name twice?

I have a bit of a predicament...
So with DD1 we found it really hard finding names we really loved until we heard one and absolutely loved it!
We had two names and ended up using them as a first and middle name.
However, the only girls name I really love if we had a second DD is DD1's middle name.
If I have another girl can I give her my DD1's middle name as her first name or is that wrong? Confused
The name is Amara Smile

If you like classic/traditional first names then how about:

• Alice
• Cora
• Catherine
• Charlotte
• Elizabeth
• Olivia
• Rose
• Sophia

We wondered about this for DD2 as we love DD1's middle name but decided against it. DD2's name is actually another version of DD1's middle name e.g. Anne as middle name but Nancy as DD2's first name so there's still a connection with the person that DD1's middle name honours.

No. It's a strange thing to do. Think of something else. Seriously, there are millions of names you could choose from. Why would you make your kids share a name? Ridiculous!

Tamara

It's unusual, sure, but I know two sisters who share a middle name and first name respectively. No one really knows about it, because we don't tend to use middle names as much.

I wouldn't.

I know am Amara. Her sister is called Leonie, in case you like that too...
