Classic names - best all taken!

We have DC1 on the way in January, and really struggling for boys names. We want something pretty classic, but baby is going to have 10 male cousins, most of whom have got v classic names, of just the type we love.

We can't use:
George
Daniel
Oliver
Daniel
Adam
Benjamin
Harry
Thomas
Richard
Edward
Patrick
James

What would you consider to be in a similar vein to these that might fit the bill? We don't want to go too left field or 'grandad'.

Thanks!

The names on the no list are so common that you could probably get away with using one anyway...

aliensprig · 05/10/2019 08:42

Seriously OP, you can have whichever name you want regardless of who else has it in your extended family. No one owns a name. The ones you've listed are very popular being classic names, so it's not as if it would be incredibly weird to have a second Oliver in the family! Just pick one from your no list if that's what you want :)

Interesting to see what a wide range of names people see as classic! Broderick??

Op, what about:
Charles / Charlie
John / Johnny
Andrew / Andy

MissHenty · 05/10/2019 09:25
