Frank or Frankie conjure up such a different image to Francis.

Frank/Frankie is a real lad and Francis is a much more sensitive type.

A studious boy who the teachers love. Intelligent and kind. He has a few close friends and his mum is very proud of him.

Ok. Though i like Frank better

The one I knew was called Fra for short, and he was lovely. He was very tall, with sandy hair and a wicked sense of humour.
