I pronounce it "Ros-alin" i think its a beautiful name Smile

littlecabbage · 13/09/2019 07:12

Roz uh line (end rhyming with mine).

From Shakespeare.

EdithWeston · 13/09/2019 07:12

Either Roz-a-line (as found in Shakeperian productions, and to rhyme with Caroline) but would not be surprised by Roz-a-leen

Frangible · 13/09/2019 07:15

What @Edith said. But if you’re going to be one of those people who is upset or annoyed by people not knowing which it is, or opting for the other one you don’t go with, I’d choose a different name.

MrsMozartMkII · 13/09/2019 07:16

I'm with the Roz-a-leen pronouncers. Hadn't thought of the Roz-a-line option.

It's a beautiful name either way.

AdalindMeisner · 13/09/2019 07:18

Littlefish · 13/09/2019 07:19

My aunt, Scottish and in her 80s, is a Rose-leen. Same spelling.

AlexaShutUp · 13/09/2019 07:31

Roz - uh - line, as per the Shakespeare name.

DieCryHate · 13/09/2019 07:32

Roz-uh-line

savourypuncakes · 13/09/2019 07:34

Rose-ah-lean

BertrandRussell · 13/09/2019 07:51

Go for Rosalind. Much more interesting character (actually talks!) and no question about pronounciation.

AmIThough · 13/09/2019 07:52

Roz-a-lin

EdithWeston · 13/09/2019 07:56

If you're aiming for roz-a-lin, then the spelling would be Rosalyn

littlemeitslyn · 13/09/2019 08:27

'Rowsaleen ' Really 🙄!

bridgetreilly · 13/09/2019 18:02

To rhyme with Caroline. But I far prefer Rosalind.

StrictlyComeMarie · 13/09/2019 18:10

Rose-uh-leen

Beautiful whatever way it’s pronounced! I’d never heard it before but it’s gorgeous
