Baby name idea too much?

So I always wanted the name Joshua if I had a son, DH and I decided on naming Ds1 a family name which made sense for our firstborn. Friends then called their son Joshua a few weeks later.im now pregnant again and can’t seem to get over the name...DH had decided on Josiah instead as a compromise which I do like just not as much as Joshua. Would having Joshua for a middle name just be far too much?
I kind of like Josiah Joshua but don’t know if I’ve just talked myself into it because I don’t want to lose a name I’ve loved. Opinions?

We’ll, I guess it takes all sorts. Personally I think Josiah Joshua is quite distinctive and has a great ring to it.
No reason why you shouldn’t use Joshua, of course but ask your friend if it’s ok with her. She’s bound to say it is but will appreciate your asking.

I think you should stick with the name you clearly love

In 5 years time you might not even be in regular contact with these friends and even if you are who cares...

Use it. It won’t be an issue. It’s a lovely name. Tell your friends they have great taste as that has been your ideal name for a while now

I'd stick with Joshua

I never thought I'd be shocked at the level of non-story a 'news'paper would sink to, but here we are.
