Would love opinions on these - DH has thrown a wild card into our naming discussions.Grin

Ethan Dominic
Jacob Dominic
Lucas Dominic
Samuel Dominic

We both like Lucas, I really like Samuel, we both like Jacob but dislike Jake as a nickname, and DH has thrown out the wildcard of Ethan, which I am not sure about....

What a shame.
Felix Donnelly sounds the best!

TheVanguardSix · 11/09/2019 22:10

Not, 'what a shame' about Lucas. That's a lovely name.
But I do like Felix with your surname.

Leflic · 11/09/2019 22:39

It’s not that they are safe names but to me they are favourites of the disruptive boys at school. Very familiar with all of them especially Lucas and Ethan! Samuel less so maybe but very very unoriginal.

MyCatDrinksFlatWhites · 11/09/2019 23:19

I agree Felix is fab, but I just can’t get DH past the cat food association. Not helped by him dishing out the feline version twice a day!

Ah, @Leflic, that’s interesting - the rogues in DS’s class go by Tommy and Charlie. (DH did suggest Amos, which is certainly original...)

Any suggestions for more original names that might get past both of us? I am toying with Reuben but not sure.

I like Lucas Dominic very much. If you both like it, surely that's the one.

Astronica · 12/09/2019 04:28

In order of my preference:

  1. Lucas
  2. Samuel
  3. Jacob
I quite like all these and not much between them. Ethan is a distant 4 for me.
thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 12/09/2019 05:24

I like them all. But prefer Sam over Samuel.

finallychangedmyusername · 12/09/2019 10:55

Your list was pretty much my shortlist, ALL of these are fabulous. I'm intrigued to know what your DS1's name is... Grin

Other suggestions since we seem to have a similar style:
Aaron
Oscar
Adam
Joshua
Jonah
Nathaniel or Nathan
Nicholas
Elliott
Thomas
Daniel

IckleBear · 12/09/2019 13:00

Samuel Dominic

MyCatDrinksFlatWhites · 12/09/2019 16:45

@finallychangedmyusername, DS1 is Isaac.Smile

Thanks for your suggestions. From your list, we love Thomas and would probably be using that were it not for some complicated family reasons. I quite like Joshua but a close relative is planning to use it imminently if their baby is a boy so it’s on the back burner at the moment. I also like Nicholas but DH doesn’t; he likes Adam but I am unsure.

Hahaha, I should have put money on that... I have an Isaac too.... we have VERY similar styles Grin

finallychangedmyusername · 13/09/2019 20:41

Also suggesting: Asher? (Great meaning, to match his brother's), Matthew? Elijah?

Sparklypurpleunicornsaremyfav · 15/09/2019 21:08

Samuel definitely, biased as I have a samuel whose middle name is Isaac!!!! 😂 😂 😂
Ciaran/kieran
Nathan
Matthew
Adrian
