Tinsley. Give me strength.

If you want 'relatively uncommon at the moment', OP, how about Jane, Samantha, Rachel, Sarah, Gillian, Janet, Barbara, Lisa, Melanie, Jacqueline, Gail, Angela or Louise?

I do understand your desire to have something a bit uncommon, OP. I chose names that are completely 'normal' (not yooneeque), but extremely uncommon, for my DC. They very rarely get mentioned on MN, which is a good thing in my book.

Nameberry. Com is a good resource for names. It's US so some of the less common names mentioned there are names used more here but it gives you suggestions for other names based on ones you search for.

Sexnotgender · 24/08/2019 22:14

Clementine (clemmy)

This is becoming popular and is so awful.

diddlediddle · 24/08/2019 22:15

I don't know why people are suggesting Astrid so much, it's getting quite popular.

Look at this site:
names.darkgreener.com

It shows trends in popularity. Not just how many babies are called a name in any given year, but whether they are increasing or decreasing in popularity and if so, how steeply. For example, even if a name is outside the top 100, if it has climbed steeply in popularity in recent years it will not sound unusual because people will associate it with becoming popular in recent years.
