My DH loves Felix as it's his Dad's middle name (italian). I like it now through familiarity and association, but my first thought about it was 'cat' and 'cat food'

Love it. Went to school with one, who will be mid 40s by now, and my friend has one who is 5.

Ugly.

Cat food springs to mind. It wouldn't be my choice at all, but I don't dislike it.

It's fine. Reasonably commonplace round here. I know at least four ranging from 5 to 17. How ridiculous to suggest it is "try hard". What does that even mean?

I think of it as a bit upper-class, which is not really my thing, but not as exaggeratedly so as something like Rupert or Tarquin - it's popular enough across the board that people a bit younger than me might not have that association.

The person I know is also American although Cuban by heritage.
