Some of these are a bit ridiculous though! It's a bit weird to butcher a name and take some random letters.

Edwin - Dwi
Peter - Ete
Richard - Icha

Madness!

Icklepup · 01/08/2019 08:14

Hector - Hec, Eckie, Tor
Magnus - Mags, Maggie, Nussie, Magni
Felix - Feef, Fefe

Pippilangstrumpfi · 01/08/2019 09:09

Hec sounds like Heck Shock

Saharasunset · 01/08/2019 16:49

If I had a boy tomorrow he would be Jos

It's interesting when you look back to the early 20th century, most traditional boys names were associated with unusual nicknames

Spencer - Spike
George - Jud
Bernard - Berry
Leonard - Leo
Christopher - Kip, Kit
Maxwell - Wells
Horace/Wallace - Ace
Andrew - Drew, Dre, Dan
Benjamin - Buster
Jeremiah/Jeremy - Remi
Isaac - Zac
Chester - Chet
Roland - Rolo
Harrison - Ari (Ah-rie)
Jonathan - Jonty
Justin - Tino
Francis - Fran

SAMlady · 01/08/2019 17:57

I agree @Saharasunset I am in love with Jos. DH's bestie has a Joseph nn Joe so thought that was out of the running but it's back to top of the list with Jos.

Also thought of Christopher - Christy
