Me and my boyfriend love it but not sure how other people will feel about it. Also considering the nicknames either Lettie or Lottie.

Also do you think it sounds nice with Eva as that will be her big sister.

Thank youSmile

I love it and the nicknames are fab too.

I prefer viola if any

Stravapalava · 22/07/2019 18:14

I'm not a fan because my associations are:

1 - Violent / violate
2 - parma violets
3 - "you're turning violet, Violet!"

Ohyesiam · 22/07/2019 18:15

I love it.
It has become more popular in the last 15 years, but my OH works in a massive comprehensive and there’s only one there.
I love that it’s a flower name but it still feels strong and energetic. I think I may be influenced by the DD in The Incredibles, but I did love it before I saw that!

I love it. I have a Violet.

She gets called Vi never lottie I dont like that.

I don't like it. But I am out the end of frilly, girly names and to me Violet is very much one of those.

DramaAlpaca · 22/07/2019 19:13

I like it, as long as it's pronounced with three syllables. To me it's not in the least bit frilly. I like Lettie as a diminutive.

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue · 22/07/2019 22:20

I have a Violet (so obviously love the name) and no one has ever called her Vi thankfully! Or Lettie, although that's quite nice. Her nickname is just V.

Greenolivesorblackolives · 22/07/2019 22:22

I love it
