Frith2013 · 09/07/2019 19:25

Oh, you’ve chosen! Good choice Smile

Wolfff · 09/07/2019 19:30

Great choice. I have a Saskia. We pronounce it closer to ‘Suskia’ as that is the way the Dutch pronounce it. We are of Dutch origin.

ChaChaDeGregorio · 09/07/2019 20:02

I'm on my 3rd glass of wine and you sound like you wanted honesty so...

Maya- a recent fad, doesn't seem like it has much backbone, will date

  • Sasha- this is traditionally short for Alexandra. Use the proper full name?
  • Saskia- a good strong name but people will ask if you have Russian heritage. Maybe you do.
  • India- bit dated. Ok
  • Natasha- Ok

Congratulations on your wonderful dd x

ChaChaDeGregorio · 09/07/2019 20:04

Saskia is great Star

TurquoiseAndPurple · 09/07/2019 21:16

We have very similar taste! I had
Acacia
Saskia
Maya (but also ruled this out due to popularity)
And some others were Cleo, Kaia Marley and Soraya.

So Saskia is my favorite on your list.

Wolfff · 09/07/2019 22:28

chacha
It’s a Dutch name not Russian. When DD meets Dutch people they comment on it and ask why she has a Dutch name - no one else.

Poetryinaction · 09/07/2019 22:32

Oh I only like Natasha. Love it.

Joeybee · 10/07/2019 01:27
  • Maya - LOVE this name. In-fact is definitely use it, however some people would pronounce it like 'me-ah' and that would bug me.
  • Sasha - lets name.
  • Saskia - a bit pretentious sounding to me.
  • India - prefer Indie...unless you have some connection to India that'd make it special for you to use it.
  • Natasha - love it, it's a bit dated now, as it was popular 10-20 years ago, however I think it still works today. It's familiar but won't be over popular and people would likely know how to say and spell it.
Watersnail · 10/07/2019 03:20

Natasha, then Saskia. Both are sparky-sounding names. Stella and Larissa have a similar vibe to these IMO.

Maya is overused
India is a country
Sasha is wet-sounding to me.
