I love Vivienne and it goes nice with your DD's name.

BlueMerchant · 12/06/2019 14:18

I'd personally use Marnie as a name in its own right. I don't like Marianne.
I do like Vivienne.

playbadlycast · 12/06/2019 14:19

Marianne is one of my favourite names; I thins it’s beautiful. Definitely the one I would go for.

NameChange92 · 12/06/2019 14:24

Love Marianne (and think it goes really well with Edith)
Like Vivienne
Not keen on Mabel (for some reason I think of it as a cow’s name, not sure if that’s from TV/a book)

Firsttimemama2017 · 12/06/2019 14:26

Marianne is the best of your list.

Don't like Vivienne and Mabel reminds me of a pets name.

FizzyGreenWater · 12/06/2019 14:29

Marnie is so horrible!

Mabel goes best with Edith.

Edie and Bel

Sophronia · 12/06/2019 14:36

Marianne is the best and goes very well with Edith.

Hopefullysmart · 12/06/2019 14:42

Love Vivienne, it was one of our favourites.

Pollymollyholly · 12/06/2019 16:16

Marianne is really beautiful and so classic

Pollymollyholly · 12/06/2019 16:17

Marnie is vile- sorry. Geordie Shore would put me off

HappyDinosaur · 12/06/2019 16:18

I love Mabel.

Whoops75 · 12/06/2019 16:22

Love them both but my favorite is Vivienne

Disfordarkchocolate · 12/06/2019 16:22

Marianne for me. Good luck.

Pemba · 12/06/2019 16:26

Marianne is absolutely beautiful and still quite unusual. I quite like Vivienne too.

Mabel - objectively it's probably a nice name, but it was my late Grandma's name (who would now have been well over a hundred) so for me I can't disassociate it from a 'little old lady' vibe. Her sister was Gladys.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 12/06/2019 16:28

Marianne is lovely
Vivienne is lovely

I'm afraid that I can't abide Mabel; it always makes me think of Mabel and Veronica, the bullies in 'The Four Marys'... That probably says more about me and my age than anything else Blush

INeedAFlerken · 12/06/2019 16:34

Since you have an Edith, Mabel is probably the most similar in style/tone. Not keen on either though, tbh.

If you weren't concerned about family style ... Vivienne is the prettiest name on your list.

Marianne makes me think of Gilligan's Island.

PugPupsMum · 12/06/2019 16:47

I love Mabel, but I almost dont want it to comeback as it'll become really popular!

rachelgrace · 12/06/2019 19:23

Vivienne

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 12/06/2019 19:30

I love love love Vivienne and shortened to Viv is great too

SushiForBreakfast · 12/06/2019 19:43

Mabel and then Vivienne

PunkAssMoFo · 12/06/2019 20:07

Marianne is beautiful.

Clownfish123 · 12/06/2019 21:14

Marianne is lovely. Literary and classic but with lots of nice nn's. I find Vivienne really old fashioned, not keen at all. Mabel goes well with Edith but it's got nothing on Marianne.
Edie and Mari, Edie and Annie, Edie and Mazzy

WittyFool · 12/06/2019 21:21

Marnie is lovely that makes it a tough choice but I think I’m sticking with Vivienne!

noitsachicken · 12/06/2019 21:26

Mabel looks like it should sound nice ‘may-bell’
But it’s usullay said ‘May-bul’ or ‘may-ball’ sounds ugly to me.

Wiseoldnannyplum · 13/06/2019 08:05

Thank you all so much for taking time to reply. Think Marianne is probably my favourite really as I noticed I was counting up those likes a bit more
I know it's not to everyone's taste but if we all liked the same thing there would only ever be top twenty names Thanks for your honesty. Wanted to make sure there was nothing I was forgetting - awkward nn or wierd famous association or something with any of them. Had forgotten about the 4 Mary's bully's tho @LadyMonicaBaddingham (also old enough to remember Blush)
I agree with some of you that Mabel might better suit Edie but overall I think want to like Mabel more than I actually like it (if that makes any sense).
Now I just have to think of a middle name Confused
