Can you think of any nicknames?

My friend from school has a little Fraser (they don’t have any Scottish connection) it really suits him. I think occasionally his mom calls him Frasie but aside from that he doesn’t have a nn...that’s no bad thing!

I like it!

I have a friend called Fraser, sometimes known as Fray.

PantsyMcPantsface · 13/06/2019 12:48

My brother is one. Went through a phase as a teenager of insisting on answering to Fraz which was excruciating to endure.

Regularly gets mispronounced as Frasier, or people spell it wrong or gets the "as in House of Fraser the shop"... but other than that - it's a decent enough name.

Won't list all the deeply unflattering ways I refer to him as though as he's a bit of a pretentious wanker of an adult!

I like it. People his age probably will barely have heard of the TV show Frasier so that wouldn't put me off.

Ladybirdgal · 13/06/2019 13:29

I love the name Fraser and would call our baby Fraser if it wasn't my partners name! I call him Frabear (he looks like a big cuddly bear) and his friend's sometimes call him Fra.

Definitely wouldn't associate the TV show with the name either.

fairybeagle · 13/06/2019 22:29

@Ladybirdgal I love Fraybear 😆😊

I know a few Fraser's (I'm in scotland) and they get Fray x

NeverSayFreelance · 13/06/2019 23:47

We call my friend Fraz - and Frazzle Dazzle 😂

Fraser is a good, strong name. I like it a lot. I know only one- -my former GP. In his case the name fits the person.

I don't like nicknames so I won't suggest any. I think Fraser is a nice name without any diminutive.
