Twin names

Hi, I’m 32 weeks pregnant with fraternal twins, I don’t know what genders/gender they are because I want a surprise but we don’t have any names picked out. Currently I have two sons, Noah and Finley and a daughter, Blair. Please help us think of some combinations, names I like are:
Boys: Jude, Brody, Mateo, Thomas, Harry, Luke
Girls: Maia, Violet, Aria, Ivy, Ellis, Wren, Avery, Ines (I know some of these are unisex but I would use them for a girl)
Unisex: Blake, Taylor, Alex (Alexander & Alexandra)

Thank you

I love your older DC's names.

My fab 4 are:
Jude, Brody
Ivy, Ellis.

Similarly unusual to the names you have.

SnowyAlpsandPeaks · 06/06/2019 21:55

Jude and Brody
Wren and Avery

Blake and Taylor

I would avoid Blake if you already have a Blair.

I LOVE Mateo! Jude is nice too. My sister is called Ellis so I love that for a girl! Also love Maia (but it's popular so how about Kaia?) and Aria (also gaining popularity though).

Shadow1234 · 06/06/2019 22:08

Love Avery, Ellis and Wren on the girls list
Blake and Brody on the boys list.

Eden would also fit well in your list as a unisex name (although I personally prefer it for a girl)

bridgetreilly · 06/06/2019 23:12

I would assume Ellis was a boy. I really don't think it's unisex, I think it's a boy's name that people sometimes give girls because they think that's cool.

TurquoiseAndPurple · 06/06/2019 23:25

@bridgetreilly that's just not true. It's been a unisex name for a long time. I think it's quite frilly and pretty! It's my sisters name and I always thought it sounded odd on boys.

Jossina · 07/06/2019 00:06

@TurquoiseAndPurple why can't boys be frilly and pretty?

TurquoiseAndPurple · 07/06/2019 00:22

@Jossina Hmm oh c'mon... Where did I say boys can't be frilly and pretty? I was pointing out that Ellis can be unisex/femenine too. Don't try and make my comment about something else. 🙄🙄🙄

TurquoiseAndPurple · 07/06/2019 00:26

And I've always thought it sounded odd on boys because it's my sisters name. It was a long time before I realised it was more commonly known as a boys name. I suppose now it doesn't sound as odd but for years it did, now that I've gotten used to it.

Simmsie1 · 07/06/2019 17:21

It doesn’t matter if you see the name as a girl or a boy, OP is asking for suggestions. I love all the names on your list but based on the names of your other children I think Mateo, Violet and Ines are the best because they are also unusual but not unheard of!

Sophronia · 07/06/2019 18:12

Thomas means twin so that would be a good one to use. I like Thomas and Luke or Thomas and Alexander.

Paultrybudget · 07/06/2019 18:16

Thomas, Alexander or Harry

Violet and Ivy

Turquoiseandpurple thanks, I was thinking Blake would be too similar to Blair so I wasn’t sure if it would work. I love Mateo it was my uncles name (Spanish descent) and I was trying to think of some Spanish girls names to go with it if we have a bit and a girl. I am worried about the popularity of Aria and Maia, thanks for the suggestion of Kaia will have to ask DH about it. I came across Alia as a variation of Aria the other day but it can be pronounced two ways (A-lea) and (ah-lia).
