Quinn and Elliott are lovely - but only like them for a boy
Eden is one of my favourite names for a girl atm
Prefer Darcy for a girl
Jesse is nice for a boy
Don't like any of the others on the list i'm afraid

pikapikachu · 21/05/2019 21:21

Boys:
Ace Bit of a reputation to live up to with this kind of name.
Atlas This could easily turn into teasing eg when he's lost
Augustus I think of Gloop as will many kids. Not flattering
Clay Colleen and Wayne Rooney fan? (I know their son is Klay)
Darcy Usually a girl's name in my experience.
Eden Usually a girl's name in my experience
Eric Donald Trump fan?
Ivan Great name!
Jesse I like it but think he'll be mistaken for Jessie
Lockie Not familiar with this name. Is it a nickname?
Magnus Great Name
Moses OK

Girls:
Blair as in Tony Blair or Blair Waldorf (Gossip
Girl)? No
Darby Not familiar with this name as a first name
Eliot So many ways to spell this. Elliott looks nicer imo. My dd has a unisex name and hates it

Julia Cute
Juniper Makes me think of rabbits
Kobie Not sure how it's pronounced but looks Male- Kobe Bryant, Kobe beef maybe?
Lumi -ok
Perrie - makes me think of Perrier water. Only know Perrie from Little Mix (not a bad association)
Phoenix It's hard to spell and too alternative for me
Pippa ok
Quinn As in Harley Quinn? Feel like I'd end up with a poorly behaved child lol
Stella Lovely

Initial reactions:
Boys
Ace and Lockie sound made up.
I think of Darcy and Eden as girls names.
The rest are OK. My favourites are Eric, Ivan and Magnus.

Girls
Lumi just makes me think of Lumie alarm clocks.
Kobie makes me think of Kobi beef. Not an association I’d be keen on.
Darby looks wrong, and will end up correcting the spelling all the time.
I think of Blair, Eliot and Quinn as boys names.
I actually really like Gloria. Frances, Julia, Juniper, Pippa and Stella are all nice too.

17caterpillars1mouse · 22/05/2019 20:52

Magnus- love it but another heavy name
Moses- adore it

Girls:
Blair - meh

Moderatelycrafty · 22/05/2019 20:55

Boys: Magnus and Moses only
Girls: Eliot, Pippa and Julia only

Isntthatalwaystheway · 22/05/2019 21:01

To Me a few of your names are unisex - Darcy, Quinn, Eden, Jesse, Elliot..
I vote for Eden and Quinn for a Girl or Boy Smile

StarJumpsandaHalf · 22/05/2019 21:17

Got to be honest, I found your lists very tricky OP.

Not keen on any for boys, but if I had to choose it'd be Ivan.
Frances or Julia for a girl, although I prefer Francesca to Frances.

whitehalleve · 22/05/2019 21:39

I only like one from each list.

Eden

Julia

schplappo · 23/05/2019 21:20

Boys:
Ace - what if he's not?
Atlas - no - sounds too burdensome
Augustus - not really, although Gus is a good nickname
Clay - only if he's the (second) husband of Miss Ellie from Dallas
Darcy - only if you add Mr. first (o/w this is surely a girl)
Eden - a girl
Eric - nope
Ivan - maybe
Jesse - YES!
Lockie - is this a name?
Magnus - no
Moses - too much

Girls:
Blair - a sister for Tony?
Darby - no
Eliot - a boy
Frances - gorgeous
Gloria - not keen
Grey - no way
Julia - yes
Juniper - this is the lead female pachyrhinosaurus in Walking With Dinosaurs, the Movie, so no.
Kobie - definitely not
Lumi - isn't this a natural sunlight lamp from Phillips?
Perrie - doesn't sound like a real name
Phoenix - don't do it
Pippa - Philippa is better
Quinn - quite like this
Stella - yes

So I'd say Jesse and Frances, which are both lovely names and you can imagine them for both children and adults.

Astronica · 25/05/2019 13:24

I love Magnus, the only one on your boy list for me.

Girl - Frances, Julia, Juniper and Pippa are all great.

Don't like any of your boys names at all.
