What would you say is the 'vibe' of each name and which do you prefer?

Abigail - quiet shy girl name
Chloe - self assured
Georgia - popular, quite loud

Pepperdino · 14/05/2019 14:33

I like Chloe the best. There are a lot of them around although the name isn't quite as popular now as it was 20 years ago.

Pepperdino · 14/05/2019 14:34

Chloes are friendly and chatty.

Still18atheart · 14/05/2019 14:36

Order of preference
Chloe - if I have a dd she will likely to be called this
Georgia - chatty but heart of gloms
Abigail- don’t like as I’ve never met a nice one. I’m sure they are many lovely abigails

Marty93 · 14/05/2019 16:06

Abigail - Angelic, cute, dainty
Chloe - Bold, loud, cheeky (in a good way!)
Georgia - confident, playful

NuffSaidSam · 14/05/2019 16:14

I like Georgia best.

I think it's the most 'classic' of the choices and has the best nn potential.

Pegaroo · 14/05/2019 16:46

Abigail - sweet
Chloe - bit rough round the edges and likes a drama
Georgia - quiet

llamawearingasombrero · 14/05/2019 16:51

Abiagail. The other names are now very 'common '. Abigail still sounds a bit 'upper' ( if that makes sense)

DiscoZebra · 14/05/2019 16:59

Have to say Abigail (I may be slightly biased - definitely not shy or quiet though). Lots of nn options too, Abby, Abi, Abbie etc

flameycakes · 14/05/2019 17:09

Love Abigail, Chloe and Georgia are very Towie x

Rainandwine · 14/05/2019 17:21

I think Abigail & Georgia are TOWIE sounding
Chloe I think is more a name for anyone

Rainandwine · 14/05/2019 17:22

Just seen the comment before mine Grin
I haven’t actually watched TOWIE so I’m probably wrong.

Pepperdino · 14/05/2019 17:24

I think all three names have featured on Towie at some point Grin

llamawearingasombrero · 14/05/2019 18:21

'Clo -eh' sounds terrible as does 'jaw- jah ' Abigail sounds neutral to me

Expressedways · 14/05/2019 18:27

Honestly I’m not wild about any of them, they’re all a bit 1990s Essex (I’ve never seen TOWIE but I knew lots of girls with these names growing up in the 90s in Essex). If I had to pick one then definitely Abigail.

llamawearingasombrero · 14/05/2019 19:20

I once worked in a nursery up north and 'jor-ja' was an absolute nightmare. We literally threw a party when she moved onto primary school.

Thertruthisoutwhere · 14/05/2019 19:30

All the Abbys I know are really lary Grin
Chloe - quiet
Georgia - could be anything

Georgia ❤️

PlatypusLeague · 14/05/2019 20:30

Georgia - either a horsey Sloane or Essex party girl
Chloe - likely to be arty and bright, otherwise more of a brash Z-list type with a fitness video
Abigail - intelligent, academic, kind, shy, pretty, willowy, good at tennis

TurquoiseDress · 14/05/2019 23:00

Out of those 3 I prefer Chloe

I had initially wanted it for DC2 but DH really wasn't keen so we went with something else

We know two Chloes, both under 7- one has French parents so they pronounce the name with such a lovely accent

Frazzled2207 · 14/05/2019 23:04

I teach and both the Abigails I know are very studious academic types.

Chloe is so common that it doesn't really have a "type".

Not come across any Georgias locally (NW).

Sophronia · 14/05/2019 23:06

They’re all a bit 90s, but Abigail is more of a classic than the other two.

DulcieRay · 14/05/2019 23:12
  1. Chloe
  2. Georgia
  3. Abigail
DramaAlpaca · 14/05/2019 23:43

Abigail is Biblical so I suppose the most classic. I'm not mad on it, but it's the best of the three.

I don't much like the 'Chl' sound in Chloe, and it's dated, too.

I really don't like Georgia, it's a clunky feminine form of George that doesn't sound nice to me.
