If I like Elizabeth

These are the names that I really like, we had pretty much decided on one but it appears to have been chosen by someone in the village in last couple of weeks and as it's a small village and not a massively popular name in our area it has put me off! I'd love some more suggestions. I typically like classic but not super popular with the exception of a couple which don't really fall into that camp.

Elizabeth / Elspeth / Eliza
Eleanor
Constance (Connie) *dp hates this
Agnes
Demelza *he also hates this and I'm not sure I'd have the balls to use it anyways as it's so marmite
Iris

Elizabeth is a great name and with so many variants from it you can pick something that suits your dc upon arrival and change as they grow up if desired. We have.a Libby as our choice of variant. Betsy, Lizzie, Beth, Bette, Eliza are all options

I love your list....with the exception of Eleanor! I know it's a MN favourite but to me it's so clunky. Demelza was a name DH said no way to as was Iris. Elizabeth is lovely too. My dds are Susannah and Cassia who was almost Dinah if those names are any good to you.

You could also get Georgie from Georgette / Georgiana

What about Emmeline ?

Demelza is the name of a children's hospice charity isn't it... and it always reminds me of dementia Confused neither are great connotations unfortunately.

All of the other names on your list are lovely. If you really love Eleanor just go for it. You or the other family might move away and then you'd wonder why you were so bothered. If not, the kids can have different nicknames?
