I love Daphne & jasper but DH hates them, alternate suggestions ?

I like slightly unusual names if possible.

My fave is Daphne but DH has put his foot down. What names are similar?

I also love lorelei.

Blythe (clashes with out surname)

Blake (although Blake lively has ruined this for boys a bit imo)

Dh has vetoed them all :( daisy is ok but I love Daphne so much. Dc2's sex will remain a surprise

We already have a james (after Ddad) but the names don't need to match at all.

Caspian is less ghost like - although their generation won’t think ghost anyway

Caspian is a sea. Come on. Would you name your kid Tasman or Sargasso?

This is going to come as a shock Rivers, it was to me when I first found out, but sometimes the same word can be two things!! It's so weird!

Like June is a girls name but it's also a month! And May! And April!!

And then Rose and Daisy and Violet are flowers but also names!

And Scarlet and Violet (that's right Violet is three things?!) are colours and also names.

Florence is a place in Italy and Georgia is an American state!

Pearl and Ruby are gems.

It's absolute madness isn't it?!

I would have thought Magnus fits right in with Scottish heritage? I love Magnus. And Casper is good, past being a ghost these days I feel, and it's becoming quite mainstream now so that helps. I really like Dominic, Douglas, Rufus, Astrid and Penelope too. I don't mind Percy but it's more quirky than the others and you will get mixed reactions to it.

Caspar is one of the 3 wise men (ER is the US spelling).

Don’t like Daphne but like Phoebe, Hera, Artemis, Demeter, Iris, Aurora, Juno.

Like Blythe. Not a terribly strong name tho, perhaps works better as a middle name.

With Scots heritage I love Hamish, Hector, Sholto, Fingal.
