Scarlet or Imogen?

What do you picture/think of a person with either of these names?

Thank you Grin

Both pretty names. I prefer Imogen.

I imagine Imogen's to be intelligent women and have only met girls with the name Scarlett so can only imagine a young girl!

barberstreisand · 01/05/2019 11:27

Scarlet for me, I really don’t like the name Imogen

Icklepup · 01/05/2019 12:09

Scarlet

tiramisu1 · 01/05/2019 12:44

I really dislike Imogen.

Scarlet is better but I find it quite harsh sounding and it reminds me of a (little) scar,

SallyWD · 01/05/2019 13:43

I think Imogen is lovely. Feminine but not frilly. Elegant and classy.

DramaAlpaca · 01/05/2019 13:47

What SallyWD said.

MikeUniformMike · 01/05/2019 13:52

Scarlett with two Ts. I'm not keen on Imogen because I don't like Immy.

WeepingWillowWeepingWino · 01/05/2019 13:53

ooh, most unusually I really like both! And yes, Scarlett with two ts.

Feminine and strong names.

whitehalleve · 01/05/2019 13:56

Dislike Imogen, but I like Scarlet

Sophronia · 01/05/2019 14:44

Not keen on either, but Imogen if I had to pick.

Flamingosnbears · 01/05/2019 14:47

Imogen is by far the better of the two

Shadow1234 · 01/05/2019 14:55

I love both as full names. (and actually like Immy as nn for Imogen).

Girl my daughter used to go to school with, (called Scarlett) always got called Scar, which I didn't think was very nice, but presume Letti might be an alternative nn).

Stephanie01 · 02/05/2019 08:07

There's another thread on Imogen - I think it's beautiful and it and it means beloved child which is beautiful.

ABitOTT · 03/05/2019 12:56

Scarlett with double tt.

I loved this name but my sister in law had a Charlotte a month before us so we decided Scarlett would sound ridiculous. Chose a totally different sounding name, but over twenty years on, I could just see my DD carrying off the name Scarlett

Ohhellothereladyface · 03/05/2019 13:02

Scarlett.

PlatypusLeague · 03/05/2019 13:06

Imogen

I'd be too wary of the "scarlet woman" connotation.

Eustasiavye · 04/05/2019 07:18

Scarlett reminds me of a fiesty, intelligent, go getting woman.
