Albany, Aretha and ...

So we're expecting baby number 3 in June. Our two older daughters are called Albany and Aretha (shortened to Annie and Rita some of the time). We don't know if we're having a boy or girl. We don't want another A - wanting to avoid a 'theme'. Also looking to maybe not be quite so unusual this time around! We have a shortlist but feel 'the one' may still be out there! Any suggestions readily welcome please...

Sure not an 'A'..... Araminta to 'Minty'!

TitianaTitsling · 19/04/2019 20:12

Elodie Eloise to Ellie?

Bumblebeesmum · 19/04/2019 20:13

Usually people get braver with each child so you’re all backwards! Grin

Suggestions:
Lyra

Miranda
Dahlia

Oops forgot the boys:
Hector
Benedict
Lucien

Ha yeah, I think we've seen the downside of having more unusual names for the girls over the past few years and think a more well known name would be easier for the newbie in the long run. I like Hector.

Thanks everyone - some great name ideas to ponder. I really like names beginning with vowels for the girls for some reason...

Astrid as mentioned by a PP is perfect!!
Albany, Aretha and Astrid. I know you dont want another A name but they sound so lovely together.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 26/04/2019 19:33

Timmy

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 26/04/2019 19:34

Where from is name Zoshia?

Lavenderblues · 27/04/2019 14:23

Poland, I think.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 27/04/2019 19:55

I’m Polish. The name is Zosia. There is no „sh” sound in there, if it were it’d be written down as „sz”. It’s a difficult sound to write down/ say for the aengoish speakera as „th” is difficult for Polish people to write down phonetically. Either way it’s not Zoshia.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 27/04/2019 19:56

aengoish speakera Hmm English speakers
