I’m looking for classic/traditional boys names with 6 letters and 2 syllables. Any suggestions? Thanks

That is a weirdly specific set of criteria. Would it really matter if his name were 5 letters long or only one syllable?

Damian

LittleSprite · 18/04/2019 19:59

No, it wouldn’t matter at all. But we’ve inadvertently ended up with a sort of pattern in our names and our existing children’s names, so I was just wondering about what else would fit the pattern.

Sorry but I don’t know anyone who starts their name choices for a new baby with - must have 6 letters. Wtf. How about just choosing a name you like ?!

NotMyUsualTopBilling · 18/04/2019 21:31

I get where you're coming from OP we have 2 kids, both have 4 letters and 2 syllables.

We haven't planned anymore but I have noticed that the names I sway towards are similar and I think it's struggle breaking the pattern that we've unintentionally set.

LittleSprite · 18/04/2019 21:33

No need to be rude Chicken, I was wondering if there would be other similar sounding names that I did like. As I said, it was inadvertent that we got this far in the first place. Obviously I’m not going to choose a name I don’t like just for a pattern!

Yay, my twin boys who will be here soon have names that fit this criteria: Casper and Thomas. I think they are great!
How about Edward, Jasper, Harvey? x

MargotSimpson · 19/04/2019 12:15

Why? So specific

LittleSprite · 19/04/2019 13:35

@MargotSimpson, I’ve already explained why, twice!

@littlesprite Sorry! Don’t know how I missed that

Bumblebeesmum · 19/04/2019 15:55

Are you autistic? I am & have a strong preference for odd numbers - I wouldn’t rule out an even numbered name but it’s definitely a bonus if it’s odd - so I get it :)

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 19/04/2019 16:12

Lucian. Wilbur. Barney. Elliot.

Bumblebeesmum · 19/04/2019 16:13

Is Lucian said with 2 syllables?

BertieBotts · 19/04/2019 16:18

Depends if you say Loo-shun or Loo-see-un I suppose.

Disfordarkchocolate · 19/04/2019 16:19

Joseph
Mathew
Thomas
Edward
Andrew
Francis
Arthur

LittleSprite · 19/04/2019 20:32

Joseph is definitely my favourite, and was actually the one I had thought of before I posted this. Well, it’s on the list with several non-pattern conforming names and we will see which suits! Thanks all

Archie

Bumblebeesmum · 19/04/2019 22:49

I’ve only ever seen Lucian written down so I hadn’t realised it could be pronounced like that
