Just wondering how the name has been received by family / friends?

Do they automatically end up being called Seb?

Is it a particularly common name for babies where you live?

Thanks

I have a Sebastian - 6.
He calls himself Bas, I think it's cool as he sort of choose it. Some people try and call him Seb, but he always corrects to Bas or Sebastian. you
Use it, it's such a lovely name!

Ooohhhh I love a posh name. I work in a very busy nursery and there isn't any Sebastian's

I went to school with a Sebastian, he was nicknamed sea-bass in primary school & then became Tian in his teens which he still goes by.

I wanted Sebastian for ds2. Dh wasn't keen though. I'd have called him Bash day to day though rather than Seb.

I love the name but wasn’t allowed to use it - my husband named a nesting bird in the garden Sebastian & would enquire after it regularly & then any time I suggested it he’d say ‘you can’t name the baby after our bird’ Hmm
Great name !

Five year old cousin named Sebastian. Usually gets called Seb or Sebby.

Pretty much a unanimous thumbs up from everyone in the family about his name. Was tricky to decide on the name though, as he is half Polish, so it had to be a name both sides of the family could pronounce but also like. Grin

My bro is a Seb. It's not common where we live.
