Help. Twin girl names

Telfer321 · 09/04/2019 19:29

Hi
We are expecting twin girls at the end of June and are still going back and forth on names. I really like Rose and Ivy but husband is worried about poison ivy jokes at school etc. We are also considering Amber and Zara. What is everyone’s thoughts on these names? Does any one have any other suggestions ? Our son is Cody but not concerned about names matching etc.
Thanks Smile

Rose - nice enough but personally I find it a bit prim for a first name
Ivy - like it
Amber - like it
Zara - like it

I dont think I would personally put rose and ivy together for twins. My favourite 2 of the 4 are probably Zara and Ivy :)

DramaAlpaca · 09/04/2019 22:39

Rose & Zara would be my choice.

Sophronia · 09/04/2019 22:40

How about Rosa and Zara?

Tillygetsit · 09/04/2019 23:07

I second Sophronia. Beautiful.

timefora · 10/04/2019 00:19

What about Rose sand Iris

I have 2 year old twin girls but won't say their names as very outing. Being a twin mum is the best, good luck SuperMum and keep them in sync in the early days Smile

MercyBodle · 10/04/2019 04:32

I like all 4 of your names - some other options:
Rose and Lucy
Rose and Cleo
Rose and Hannah
Rose and Tessa
Zara and Greta
Zara and Georgia
Zara and Anthea
Flora and Violet
Anya and Freya

Thanks for all your feedback. I think I am leaning more towards Amber and Zara Smile maybe even Zara Rose and Amber Ivy as I like the sound of Zara and rose together and also amber and Ivy. Thanks again Grin

well.....i am biased since I have an Ivy, but Rose and Ivy sounds sooo gorgeous too me. a while after my Ivy was born for some reason I kept thinking “if she had a twin i’d name her Hazel”. so maybe Hazel and Ivy? they go together lovely xx

Antonin · 11/04/2019 14:59

OP to avoid the A to Z thing get into the habit of calling them Zara and Amber and call the first born Zara. I think your suggestion of Zara Rose and Amber Ivy is excellent — they sound great in those combinations
Good luck

BigBooBoo · 11/04/2019 15:08

Skye and Everest

manicinsomniac · 11/04/2019 18:47

I like all those names. Prefer the Zara and Amber pairing to the Rose and Ivy pairing but my favourites are Zara and Ivy.

Like your combos Zara Rose and Amber Ivy.

I really like your name and middle name choices Smile

trishaG · 12/04/2019 19:20

How about Ava & Bella

Silvanna · 14/04/2019 00:20

I like Ivy
Or
Rose and Holly

Bumblebeesmum · 14/04/2019 08:08

I love Rose Zara & Ivy although not as much a fan of two plants together as twins often struggle to be seen as individuals so Rose & Zara or Ivy & Zara would be my votes
Or mix it up with Rosa or Rosabel

MCPT · 14/04/2019 08:13

I like all 4 names, even mixed up eg Zara and Ivy, Rose and Amber etc! Good luck :)

JUSTLOOKING20 · 14/04/2019 14:20

Amber and zara are gorgeous and really suited to being twin names but not similar but of the same mindset.
Great taste!

MrsMozartMkII · 14/04/2019 14:23

Congratulations!

I like Rose and Zara.

OhMyDarling · 14/04/2019 14:27

What about Iris?

Rose and Iris
Or
Rose and Violet

I like flowery names!

daisypond · 14/04/2019 14:43

Not Rose and Ivy. One gets a lovely scented flower that has featured in culture for aeons and the other gets a dull invasive weed that you keep trying to kill off.

rba100 · 14/04/2019 17:28

Phobos and Deimos, the twin moons of Mars. Means 'fear' and 'dread'. You're welcome! :)

justjuggling · 16/04/2019 22:48

Zara Rose and Amber Ivy sound GREAT!

3in4years · 16/04/2019 22:52

You can't have Rose and Ivy. They sound like comic characters, or fairies, good and evil.
Rose and Amber?

Sunshine1239 · 16/04/2019 22:57

I don’t like amber or Zara - both a bit love island to me - in fact they were both on it together weren’t they?! I’d consider you quite young to suggest them?

Rose and Ivy both nice but not together.
