Seraphina - Middle names...

I have been considering the name Seraphina as it is quite well known and I love the meaning of the name. However I am struggling to find a middle name that suits such a long and feminine name... I don't like the usual 'rose' or 'ivy' middle names, as beautiful as they are, as these are very commonly used now
Any ideas? Our surname is two syllables.

I have compiled a small list but I am really not sure about any of these..
Aria
Ava
Lara
Summer
Skye
Jasmine
and of course:
Rose
Ivy

I would say Jasmine or Lily from your list due to the a endings of the others.

Seraphina Jade

I found a name online which is a persian variant of Laila, called Laili, what are your thoughts?

seeing as an 'a' ending is not the best with seraphina from the advice given

I know others have said they would avoid a middle name ending in -a but I would actually avoid a middle name beginning with a, and possibly even a vowel. I think that because Seraphina ends with a vowel, it would flow better if the middle name starts with a consonant.
I think Seraphina Grace is probably my favourite so far.

jiggsymalone thank you, i agree, it definitely needs to start with a consonant

The rules change with each generation anyway. The current fashion is for consonants and vowels to join together as was the fashion in Victorian times. When they grow up no doubt in efforts to distance themselves from our inherently uncool old people tastes it’ll be back to previous trends of harder sounds together. Vowels & frills are in. As are short middle names like Rose & Grace etc.

So I wouldn’t worry too much about the current rules and go with whatever you love.

although saying that I’m very much a product of this generation & so also enjoy the frilly flowy Amelia Rose type names etc - I just mean try not to overthink the rules as they’re bound to be out of vogue when our kids are adults

(I’ve only just seen Rose is on your list! Grin)
But Seraphina Rose does sound lovely to me.
