Do you like the name Chloe?

Hi! My husband and I don’t agree on many names! But he likes Chloe!
We like short, sweet, feminine sounding names I’m just not feeling like others love the name. I know this shouldn’t matter. My sis says it’s a cat name which it is a popular animal name. I’m on the BabyCenter blog and a lot of commenters seem to dislike the sound of the name. I love it and think it sounds timeless and feminine. I love the meaning of it too( little green shoot, or blooming) and it’s also a biblical name so it’s been around forever.
I have a Lily and a Grant so Chloe would go pretty well. We’re thinking Chloe Anne or Chloe Annabel as a family name. Opinions are welcome. Thank you! Also we have a 3 syllable last name.
Other names on our list:
Rachel Anne ( initials would be RAG)
Anna Claire
Claire Annabel
Charlotte Anne

Not Charlotte Anne because it sounds like charlatan. Chloe is fine and goes with your other names.

I really like Chloe. It always seems chic and a little French to me! I love all the other names on your list too. I was thinking the other day that not many people use the names Rachel and Claire anymore and they are lovely names. Anna is one of my favourite names.

Another Chloe here and I like it! I was born just before the big wave of popularity for it though so only knew one other roughly my age. Perhaps would have been less keen if I were 10 years younger and had 3 in my class.

Chloe Annabel is my preference of your options but Chloe Anne is also nice. My Mum wanted Chloe Rose for me but Dad vetoed by saying it sounds like a sunken ship Grin

Yay, glad you like your name! :)
Yeah I’m leaning towards Chloe Annabel rather thann Chloe Anne because it souds more interesting and pretty!
Thanks for everyone’s input!!

I like the name Chloe! Was on my list but OH vetoed as we are from around ish the time of popularity and he was put off from someone he knew with the name before therefore. I think it's great though unlike many other 80/90's era popular names that put me off- to me it is a more classic name. Seems to go very well with your other children's names. I would probs shorten to Chlo/Clo as a nn.

IncrediblySadToo · 13/03/2019 22:02

Chloe Annabelle is nice.

I have a Chloe, I love it! DP picked it but I was happy to go along.

I have a Chloe Alice. She's now 22 and loves her name. It was popular when she was born but we really don't know that many Chloes.

WoollyMollyMonkey · 13/03/2019 22:07

I like it too - but don’t spell it ‘Chole’ (Like some numpty I know has) and insist it is ‘Chloe’ 😳

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 13/03/2019 22:08
