I have a George.

Is there anything that springs to mind when you hear the names George and Oscar together?

George and Oscar are a good combo

Topseyt · 12/02/2019 01:07

I like them.

Mariposa123 · 12/02/2019 10:23

Arrested Development (the TV show). Good names though

Thanks all.

So George gets called Georgie quite often, is there anything you think Oscar will be naturally shortened or lengthened to?

Nice together

Icklepup · 12/02/2019 10:44

Oscie

Bicnod · 12/02/2019 10:45

I have an Oscar. He sometimes gets called Osc. And sometimes Oscaroony and sometimes Oscaroony spoony. And sometimes just Spoony. And when he was little he was Oscar Poo. HTH.

GR2529 · 12/02/2019 11:22

@Bicnod all sound similar to what we would do.

We have Georgie Porgie, Porge, Georgie Bear, and... Pickle Pants 🤷🏽‍♀️

Our Oscar used to get called Oscarbum, but not so much now that he's a big boy of 6!

ReginaPhalange89 · 12/02/2019 14:17

I think they go really well together !

Isnt it funny how Nick names just happen 😂 we have a Phoebe, usually Pheebs, sometimes Pheebsy squeebsy and sometimes just Squeebs 😂

WillowG · 12/02/2019 17:34

They sound lovely together!

Sessy19 · 12/02/2019 21:49

Oscars I know are all called Ozzie as nn.

I find the combination a bit unimaginative tbh, but that is wholly due to the prevalence of both names in my wider circle...
