What do you think of Monty? Short for Montague or Montgomery.

It makes me think of 'Monty! You terrible cunt!

Scandaloso · 04/02/2019 21:02

It's a bit much really.

But if you feel you could happily shout 'COME HERE, MONTY' in a supermarket or park maybe it will be fine.

singingismypassion · 04/02/2019 22:44

Totally adore the name but I might be a tad biased!

MikeUniformMike · 05/02/2019 19:25

Monty Don springs to mind. Yeah, why not.

VenusClapTrap · 05/02/2019 19:45

It’s a bit of a comedy name. Wouldn’t be my choice, but there are far worse.

Montague (Monty) was my grandfather's name. He's the only non-canine one I've ever known and he died in 2016 aged 92. Perhaps it's due a resurgence....

Japonicaisstillahorsygirl · 05/02/2019 19:49

Montgomery is a fabulous name. I know a little Monty and he is a smashing little boy.

DramaAlpaca · 05/02/2019 20:37

It's nice on a labrador.

Shmithecat · 05/02/2019 20:38

My first thought is Monty Don. So yes, lovely name.

finallychangedmyusername · 05/02/2019 20:39

Montague and Capulet.

Lots of children share their names with dogs so who cares! If you like Monty tjen go with it. Personally I think it is a fabulous name.
