Lucia, Chiara and Alessia are my favourite Italian girl names.
The two little girls I know with Italian parents are called Alice and Clara. The names work well in both Italian and English.

Love Alessia and Valentina (but hate Tina as a nn). I do like Lucia but then there’s the pronounciation issue as it’s loos-ee-a here but looch-ee-a there

My family is Italian and I have four children (two girls)
Names we used considered were
Sofia
Sienna
Valentina
Lucia
Alessia
Allegra
Maria-grazia
Lillianna
Antonella
Anna
Mia
We went with Mia which is not strictly Italian but I liked that it meant mine and Sofia which we shorten to Fia we didn't really think it through so now we have a Mia and Fia!!
My name is Donatella which I hated growing up but don't mind it now though, it does confuse some people though and I often get letters addressed to Mrs Tella!

As Siena is a city name, do you want another one? Verona? Venezia?

TatianaLarina · 13/01/2019 11:10

Giustiniana (nn Giustina).
