So, wayyyyy before we even started trying for a baby we both loved the same boys name...when we fell pregnant, we decided we would find out the babies gender to help us plan for baby and to pick a name....fast forward to now being 37 weeks and we can't agree on anything...like not even slightly agree 😩
How did other couples get around this? Did you push for the name you really wanted?
I love unusual names that are rare where he likes really simple classic, popular names 🙈 so not even slightly on the same page now! The only thing we agree is we don't want a name that is easily shortened...

I LOVE Bligh (which we both loved for over year)
Jesse
Oakley
Elias

He loves
Percy
Freddie
Henry

Elias is a great name im biased, I have one. I also loved Elijah, Issaac, Josiah Avery, Atticus, Bohdi, Atlas (although dont think I would be brave enough) and Sonny.
Me and dp couldnt agree either, I honestly thought both our children would be nameless! When you find the right name it just clicks though.

I’m with him I’m afraid Freddie and Henry

WeCameToDance · 08/01/2019 14:53

Jeez, my spelling is awful! Can I use I was feeding the baby as an excuse Grin I meant Bodhi and Isaac.

Bligh is terrible!

Freddie is also awful.

Henry is ok but boring.

What about Ellis?

Aquamarine1029 · 09/01/2019 05:34

Perhaps he was being kind when he originally said he liked Bligh, back when you were Ttc? It is very unusual and doesn't seem to go with his own choices.

I would go back to the start and get a name book or list have a look for some more names that you might both like equally.
