Kendrick is a surname, not a first name. XX Kendrick-Rupp would be ok (though even then, there are too many Rs), but Kendrick as a first name is decidedly not.

WhiffOfBath · 30/12/2018 22:01

PS He will also be called Ken if he's called Kendrick. In which case, you might as well call him Kenneth. Grin

PristineCondition · 30/12/2018 22:01

Erm no

TatianaLarina · 31/12/2018 08:13

Bordering on comical.

Fireandfury1 · 31/12/2018 08:16

I really like it! I don’t normally like this style but actually, I knew a Kendrick and he was lovely! His was never abbreviated to anything. Just Kendrick. Lovely. Yours goes well with the surname.

If you think about it, many boys ‘ first names are surnames: Stanley, George, Arthur, etc.

WrithingHomeForChristmas · 31/12/2018 08:20

It's ok but I don't love it. Beware of Ken as a nn though, I think that's very old man in a not cool way.

lottiegarbanzo · 31/12/2018 08:24

Sounds like a character from Dickens.

lottiegarbanzo · 31/12/2018 08:25

Or an anagram. My brain is instantly trying to work out what it's meant to be.

clumsyduck · 31/12/2018 08:26

Another who wouldt normally like something like this but actually I like it . But yeh possibly end up with Ken/Kenny for a nickname which sounds quite old !!

BadgerSandwich · 31/12/2018 08:32

The ending syllable pattern is too much - try saying rick-rupp 5 times fast. It's a no IMO

Lindy2 · 31/12/2018 08:32

It sounds a bit medical to me. "I can't go to the gym today I've got a bit of Kendrick Rupp". 😂

Luglio · 31/12/2018 08:35

Sounds like a Clarks shoe style. A brogue in burgundy leather.

GraduationDilemma · 31/12/2018 08:37

Kenneth would be better

BikeRunSki · 31/12/2018 08:38

It’s a lot of harsh sounds in a row.

Dogsmellssobadbob · 31/12/2018 08:40

It sounds Dickensian or something from a comedy show

Sorry I don’t like it it’s too much and trying to hard to be quirky.

OhioOhioOhio · 31/12/2018 09:41

Yes it sounds like a Clarks brogue. That made me laugh.

Fireandfury1 · 31/12/2018 10:08

Grin I like it precisely because it sounds like a smart brogue!
Have we just invented a new genre of baby names? 😂

ScreamingValenta · 31/12/2018 10:10

I like it. It sounds like the name of a character in a novel, which is a good thing from my perspective.

Branleuse · 31/12/2018 10:10

I like it a lot

RedWineIsFabulous · 31/12/2018 10:11

Made up.

Nah.

There are better names than that op.
Please don’t saddle the poor child with that

TheFallenMadonna · 31/12/2018 10:11

It sounds like a character from a US series. Not a bad thing!

sue51 · 31/12/2018 10:16

Sounds like an estate agent in Surrey.

kenandbarbie · 31/12/2018 10:16

Rupp is an unusual and constanty surname, I think you need something a bit more usual and vowelly to balance it out.

Haffdonga · 31/12/2018 10:23

He will be

Ken Dick Rub

for ever.

MikeUniformMike · 31/12/2018 10:35

No to Kendrick. Kenneth or Kenton are better.
