I know I’m being annoying so please forgive me.
Registration is on Monday and I’m driving myself mad. I’ve narrowed it down to
Lilia and Camilla

I will go with whatever the majority says.
Please pick one.

Thanks so much
(And sorry again)

Camilla

YouSetTheTone · 29/12/2018 15:37

Camilla was top of my list (after EXTENSIVE research! Grin) for a girl until I found out it’s a boy!
I think it’s pretty yet not frilly - would suit a teen/ woman just as much as a girl. It’s totally recognisable without being too popular and I don’t think of Camilla P-B anymore than I associate any name with a famous person (unless they’re like Madonna or something and have a totally unique name).
I like Milla and Millie as nn.
So short answer- definitely Camilla from me!

Camilla

Camilla. Lilia isn't nice, it's just overly flouncy (if it was Lila it would be nice).

Joinourclub · 29/12/2018 15:42

Much prefer Camilla. Lilia has a completely different feel as far as I’m concerned. Lydia is similar sounding but much nicer.

IVflytrap · 29/12/2018 15:44

Camilla.

Lilia would get lost in the wave of young Lilys in this country, while Camilla is more unusual (but still recognisable, and easy for anyone to pronounce). Plus nicer nicknames - Milly, Milla or Cammie. Lilia would just get Lil.

Rufffles · 29/12/2018 15:47

Of these two I prefer Camilla, primarily because Lilia carries a risk of being misspelt very frequently.

Snapsnapsnap · 29/12/2018 15:48

Camilla! I know a beautiful, hard working Camilla with a fancy job, so biased

daisypond · 29/12/2018 16:00

Camilla

AndCallMeNancy · 29/12/2018 16:01

I think Lillia is much prettier than Camilla which is too horsey for my taste. Just be warned that until kids are about 4 or 5 many struggle to pronounce their ‘L’s!

TatianaLarina · 29/12/2018 16:02

Camilla or Camille. Lillia is very twee and will date horribly.

oneofthose · 29/12/2018 16:03

Definitely Camilla it's beautiful

Hezz · 29/12/2018 16:46

Is it lily A or lil EE ya?

Can't get past Parker Bowles either.

May I suggest you've not found the one yet if you're happy for random strangers to pick your DDs name?

I suggest starting again.

What about Carmen?

CloserIAm2Fine · 29/12/2018 18:29

Camilla because I really like Cammie as a nickname

Huffahouse · 29/12/2018 18:30

I think Lilia is lovely.

finallychangedmyusername · 29/12/2018 19:07

Camilla. Definitely.

furrysheep · 29/12/2018 19:12

I prefer Camilla because I'm not sure Lilia is a real name. She will probably be constantly asked how to spell it etc and Lily is far nicer IMO. If it was between Camilla and Lily then I would go for Lily.
However, nicknames for both names will be similar... Milly/ Lily so just go with which one you prefer.

bridgetreilly · 29/12/2018 19:46

Lilia. Really pretty, and yes, it's definitely a real name.

Shadow1234 · 29/12/2018 22:37

Prefer Lilia. Not keen on Camilla.

gillybombilly · 29/12/2018 22:40

Camilla is lovely, but does one sound better than the other with your surname.
