How many Noah's do you know and where in the country are you? I'm from near Scotland and I don't know a single one. I read all the time that it's a common name but I love it!

None

poshfrock · 26/11/2018 05:44

One. My DS aged 19. And when we picked it back in 1999 it wasn't even in the top 100 names. I like to think we started a trend.....

whiteroseredrose · 26/11/2018 05:48

Three. One who's 18, one 15 and a baby. All boys

Bamchicabaawaa · 26/11/2018 06:10

2, one mid twenties and one who was born in February this year.

blueskiesandforests · 26/11/2018 06:15

Actually know 3 - one 13, one 10, one 7.

I hear it out and about a lot though, always for children and teens. We're in Germany, it's popular here too though I think it's populariry peaked ten or so years ago!

pollywobble · 26/11/2018 06:15

2 under 5s..

finallychangedmyusername · 26/11/2018 17:50

I know none but have heard the name in the park maybe a couple of times. None in DC's school year or nursery.

Fulltimemummy85 · 27/11/2018 12:46

Only 1 he's 5

Buddyelf · 27/11/2018 12:47

I know one and he is 7/8 and the loveliest little boy. I love the name, if I ever went for baby number 3 and we had a boy Noah would be top of my list.

The Noa's you know are girls though right?

I live in Spain. Noa is super popular.

A friend of mine here originally wanted to call her DS Noah. Her Spanish DH had to tell her they couldn't do that living here. It would be like calling your son Amelia in the UK.

I know of quite a few boys called Noah in the UK.

RiverMeadow · 27/11/2018 21:20

Thanks everyone. I thought the numbers would be really high!! You've made my mind up for me.

5 or 6. Isn't it top 10 on the official ONS stats?

Sandsnake · 27/11/2018 21:52

Three - all under five (and I don’t know a huge amount of children compared to many). London / commuter land. It is a nice name though!

KATE3003 · 27/11/2018 21:55

Lots! But teach in an all boys Grammar school! East midlands

RiverMeadow · 27/11/2018 22:18

@ForAMinuteThere It is, but where I live I don't know a single one. So I think it's more popular in some areas.

I know no Noahs. Wink

purplecorkheart · 27/11/2018 22:32

Two, a very friendly twelve year old who I meet on my lunch break and an incredible brave wonder four year old who has been through so much but who sees the wonder in everything and does his best to make the world a better place in his own way.

ForAMinuteThere · 27/11/2018 22:38

@rivermeadow I think if you download the stats in xls from ONS you can actually get detailed ones per region.

Cuzcothellama · 27/11/2018 22:43

Three amongst my DD's friends & classmates, a further 2 amongst my friends and I "know of" another 3.

It's a lovely name though.

LegoPiecesEverywhere · 01/12/2018 07:26

I know 3. Ages 4 - 6.
