I don't like my baby's name

I didn't like any boys names while pregnant and went through list upon list and settled on a name that I liked but didn't love. It was the boys name that I liked the most. He's now 4 weeks old and I'm really going off the name, I don't think that I like it at all anymore and doesn't feel that it suits him. I'm not with his father anymore. I'm just going to have to deal with it, aren't I?

Just call him by his middle name. Plenty of people do this, eg:

James Paul McCartney
William Bradley Pitt
Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon
Walter Bruce Willis
Joseph Rudyard Kipling
Thomas Sean Connery

Ezra Jasper is a wonderful name OP!

I had the same issue, in fact there's a fair few threads I put on here about it.

Liked the first name, was on the list, but never expected it to be chosen as her first name. Then set strict rules so I'd love her middle names. Ended up compromising and now go through phases of struggling with those.

Honestly, the way I cope is:
Babies are potatoes. They look like potatoes. The flap their arms for a while. I call my baby 'Baby' or 'Bebe' or 'Baba' and have referred to her as such since birth. It's only within the past few months I've started calling her her name, and it's just automatic, I don't register. When I dwell on it, I start questioning if she suits it. She has other nicknames already, and I have sat down and thought about all the reasons we couldn't pick other names on our list.

And when people say your baby name is lovely, BELIEVE THEM. I think Ezra Jasper is a brilliant name, you could refer to him as both names. You'll find a way OP. If you want to change it, go for it, but it is a great name.

Good luck!

I think Ezra Jasper is lovely but if you prefer Jasper its totally acceptable to call him that rather than his first name. It's totally up to you x

Edward Thomas Hardy. If Tom can do it, so can Jasper. I love jasper.

Ezra Jasper is an awesome name, I absolutely love it! But I can understand that sometimes names just don’t ‘fit’ for whatever reason.

How would his dad react if you changed the name?
