Which name would you choose out of the following two options

Elizabella...e-liz-ah-bell-ah
Elizathena...e-liz-ah-thee-nah

Not a made up name, Elizabella is the Spanish form of Elizabeth

Elizabella but it's a bit of a mouthful still, I'd prefer Eliza or Isabella.

plaidlife · 07/11/2018 18:39

If you are Spanish speaking OP you need to note that English speakers will not pronounce Elizabella in the way you will and she will spend a fair amount of time correcting people.

hulabaloo · 07/11/2018 18:45

What's hard about pronouncing Elizabella? Isn't it El-ee-za-bella?

SnuggyBuggy · 07/11/2018 18:49

It's more that people will think you've said Isabella

SuperstarDJ · 07/11/2018 19:01

How should it be pronounced? I pronounce it Eliza-Bella - right or wrong?

helpmum2003 · 07/11/2018 19:05

A European Spanish speaker would pronounce LL as y and z as th.

batshitbetty · 07/11/2018 19:39

They both sound made up

MyMumDimensionJumps · 07/11/2018 19:52

I like Elizabella. Never really been that keen on Elizabeth.

Berniethefastestmilkwoman · 07/11/2018 19:58

I prefer Elizabeth or Isabella.

If you are going for one of the 2nd names you suggested then I prefer Elizabella.

littlebillie · 07/11/2018 20:13

They are okay but keep coming to mind as Elizabethan just be mindful of that but if you love them go for it

Sophronia · 07/11/2018 21:46

Elizabella

stellarfox · 11/11/2018 10:23

I wouldn’t use it unless you are Spanish? If so the first one. I would definitely prefer Elizabeth, Eliza or Isabella though!

TheCraicDealer · 11/11/2018 10:30

I wouldn't use it myself but now I know it's not made up think Elizabella is very pretty.

Imagine a toddler trying to say "Elizathena" though- don't go for that unless you love Eliza, as it will 100% just get shortened.
