Alyssia or Elysia??

I really can’t decide if it is just too fancy and just go for Alyssa or Elisa (so no ‘ia’ sound at the end)

Pretty names but am I the only one who is finding it hard to remember which combination of Ls, As, Es and Ss belong to which little girl? So many children with so many variants of those letters at the moment 🤔

Elysia is beautiful but I would pronounce it eh-LEE-zia, like Elysium in Greek mythology.

Not sure this is helpful but I once taught an Elissia. Always thought it was a lovely name and I never witnessed anyone mispronouncing it

DD’s friend is called Elysia & it’s pronounced Ell-EEE-sea-yuh

Please just name a child a name that there is no question how it’s pronounced. Give the child a break.

As another poster said pronunciation problems are a nightmare for the child 

I’m not asking how should it be pronounced adayat I’m asking for others opinions on the preferred spelling so it doesn’t look too contrived/fussy. I have a name myself that could be pronounced and spelt in many different ways but it did me no serious physiological damage
