Names LIKE Stormi?

user1119 · 25/10/2018 19:36

I know many people don't like the Kardashian names, but Stormi is the only one that I've (unexpectedly) fallen in love with!

I wouldn't ever want to use a name that's so heavily associated with the Kardashians...
but does anyone have suggestions for names like Stormi?

Doesn't have to be the same sound or anything, just the same unusualness and quirkiness.

No slating please!

This is why I hate Mumsnet! Just say you don't like it!

I once knew a girl called Stormy. The posters on here will be very surprised that this girl was training to be a doctor, and not up the duff with her 3rd child at 18. You will always get people who judge a person by their name before they've even met them.

I have what was an out there name back in the day. I like it now, but I did get stick for it (mainly from adults, not other kids). Kids were called Christopher, Mark, Sarah and Emma when I was younger though. There is much more variety now, so an unusual name isn't that much of a big deal. I think the kitschy, cutesy old lady names will fall out of fashion again one day, so call your baby what you want.

HeronLanyon · 05/11/2018 18:09

I need to admit something. I love the word stormy. I also think it is a fab name. This is despite myself. I think it sounds better with a us accent. I also think it is an easier name to carry off in the us and particularly in the kardashian celebrity circle. I do struggle to imagine it working here in the uk.
