Girl's name - Not ending in A or Y (or eee sound) and a "difficult" surname

Not for me, sadly.

As above. Surname is a posh car rhyming with "spent-lea" Confused

Names already discounted:

Hope
Alice
Charlotte
Elizabeth
Grace

Names considered but unsure:
Maeve
Madeleine

Name loved by both - Honor . Breaks the rules and with surname - is it like "on a (posh car)"?

Thanks for the help 😄

I know it's not the done thing to say so but Agnes has got to be the awkwardest name for these times.
That said I slightly wince over all the Kay'Dees etc. No - I'm not that woman. Name your child as you like, of course. But you have to bear in mind that some names age better than others.

What the fucking fuck. Sorry op.

Inez Bentley?

Do these people even read?

Iona was very funny. Don't use that.. The last two contributors are bots. At worst.

What?
Did we miss something?

That's a awesome surname but a tough one to find a name to match! I would definitely avoid Honor!

I usually like shorter names but think I would go for a longer name with your surname, or at least not one syllable. Though it's hard to think of many that don't end in A or Y!

Charlotte
Scarlett
Lois

Honor is a completely fabulous name, but I don't think you can use it. What a shame.

On a Bentley is fine.

vanitythynameisnotwoman · 27/10/2018 11:56

Agree you can't use Honor with your surname.

I don't think anyone has mentioned
Rowan
Juliet
Rhiannon
Ffion
Carys
Catrin
Lauren

Sorry if some duplicates. I like Madeleine but less sure of Maeve - but they both go fine and are top 100 but not top 10 which is a positive in my eyes.
Congratulations Flowers

Portia?

MikeUniformMike · 27/10/2018 13:27

Mercedes?

I wouldn't go for any name that could be a colour. Rose, Scarlett, Amber etc.

MikeUniformMike · 27/10/2018 13:28

Helena? Bit posher than Helena Handcart?
