So this is the list DH and I agree is OK.

Abigail
Eden
Elissa
Ella
Erin
Esme
Eva
Eve
Fearne
Felicity
Grace
Hope
Iris
Isobel
Ivy
Madeline
Skye
Summer
Willow

But we can't agree on one. I like Felicity and DH likes Iris. But I don't think either are "the one". He doesn't like the two I really really like (Caroline and Seren).

With DS it was easy, there was only ever one name and that was agreed on years before we even thought about TTC.

Erin is really really popular at the moment OP - I feel like every other girl I meet is called Erin (I'm a teacher so meet quite a few!). Grace is also popular. I like Eden and Felicity from your list.

Juno? Or Thea?

APositiveMind · 14/10/2018 21:43

Alyce/Alice?

If it helps, DH and I had a copy of the list each and without conferring we ranked them in order of the names we liked. From there we automatically cut anything not in either of our top 3 and argued it out from there. We hadn’t found out if we were pink or blue though, so we had a bit of compromising and picked a boys name and girls name that we could both agree on. We ended up with a pink one, Niamh 😊

Each pick your top 5 and compare. Any that overlap stay on the list. If there is no overlap, you each pick another 3. Again, any that overlap stay on the list. And so on.

If you’ve not found the one i’d Look a little further. We compromised on ds’s name and I’ve never been 100% about it.
Aurora
Selena
Loerlai
Cecily
Clementine
Faith
Faye
Zara
Lara
Athena
Sylvie
Clementine
Coco

Love Erin, Ivy and Grace

Peach2018 · 15/10/2018 20:56

My favourite is willow!

TheCag · 15/10/2018 21:24

We seem to be in an eerily similar position op, we also have a Rufus and are struggling for a name for our imminent dd. At the moment the shortlist is Catherine, Beatrix or Juno. Dh also likes Daisy. Rufus was so easy to name but we are struggling this time around!

overagain · 16/10/2018 12:54

TheCag our elderly cat is named Juno (back when people would look at you like you had 2 heads for calling a kid Juno), otherwise bump would be Juno!

Problem is we just can't find a name we both love. One of us is going to have to compromise.

I also love the name Nelly and I think it would work well with Rufus.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 16/10/2018 16:02

To my own surprise out of all the names you listed OP I think Eden comes out on top. Especially since you mentioned DS's name.

newrubylane · 18/10/2018 15:35

Both rank them separately and then see if there's one that you both have fairly high on the list.
