Our shortlist is below, and I think Mabel is edging out in front (for me at least!) Would appreciate your thoughts...

Mabel
Martha
Ivy
Ada
Olive

I love Ivy, its what id have called my son if he had been a girl

formerbabe · 07/10/2018 19:46

Martha is too homely
Mabel is very hipster now

I love Ada...I don't think it's too popular. Lots of Avas around but Ada isn't so common.

I like Ivy too.

DreamsofJacaranda · 07/10/2018 19:47

Martha is the nicest by a mile.

MrsFoxPlus4 · 07/10/2018 20:08

Olive!

RomanyRoots · 07/10/2018 20:10

Mabel.

Justanewname · 07/10/2018 20:12

Mabel is lovely. Definitely the best name on your list. I don’t understand the appeal of Olive, when Olivia is so much nicer. Martha is nice. Ada and Ivy are ok.

Martha

The rest sound like a register from an old people’s home

planestrains · 07/10/2018 20:29

Ada

TheGhostOfYou · 08/10/2018 14:30

Mabel, Ivy or Olive

FogCutter · 08/10/2018 14:43

Like Mabel best followed by Martha.

Nancy is a great name.

Do you like the name Merle? I heard this recently and thought it was lovely.

AlmondVanilla · 08/10/2018 21:52

Ada

shirleyschmidt · 08/10/2018 21:53

Martha knocks spots off the others!!!! I absolutely love it!!!

Followed by Mabel. The others are nowhere near!

VenusClapTrap · 08/10/2018 22:21

Not too keen on Ada but I like all the others on your list - I’m a fan of old lady names though; dd has one. My pick would be Mabel.
