Reminds me of the shopaholic books. Unlike everyone else I like Clemmie. I think I actually prefer it to Clementine tbh

@OmegaAntigone a G from the mothers side ...

pixieloux · 29/09/2018 12:11

Love it but DH vetoed it straight away and kept singing “My darling, Clementine” at me lol. It’s on my guilty pleasures list because of this. I also think it’s different in style to your DC’s name... Would be a nay for me even though I love the name itself

polkadotpixie · 29/09/2018 12:12

I love it but hate Clem and Clemmie as nicknames which puts me off unfortunately

daisypond · 29/09/2018 12:40

I like it, but I also don't like Clem/Clemmie. I know one who is often called Lemon for short.

TorchesTorches · 29/09/2018 12:42

I like it. I know an adult Clementine and it is never shortened to Clemmie/Clem, always used in full.

KaliforniaDreamz · 29/09/2018 12:52

I LOVE IT

DC3 could be Sultana.

Aragog · 29/09/2018 13:22

I don't mind it but, if it bothers you, it is becoming increasingly common. I taught two in small Y2 class last year, and there are a mother 2 in EYFS this year.

One was never shortened last year, other was always called Clem. One in EYFS is called Clemmy.

Pemba · 29/09/2018 15:36

It's a pretty name, whether pronounced Clemen-TYNE as in the song, or Clemen-TEEN. I like it.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 29/09/2018 15:38

Clemmy is dreadful. Clammy/phlegmy. Why would you do that!
