Old Testament / Hebrew baby names

I have three children and I’m currently pregnant with my fourth. I’ve unintentionally used Old Testament names for my children as they were the names that I love - Caleb, Levi and Esther. I kind of feel like I’m stuck on a theme now and I can’t go rogue with my fourth Smile. If we end up having a boy there are loads of Hebrew names that I like but if it’s a girl, I’m struggling to find one, especially that goes with the names I have! Any suggestions?!

chardonm · 28/09/2018 20:52

Could you share the boy OT names you love please?

Zofloramummy · 28/09/2018 20:53

Sarah
Ruth
Hannah
They are my favs.
I named my dd after an Old Testament name place though. She is called Bethany.

RedDwarves · 29/09/2018 00:43

Sarah is probably the ultimate Old Testament/Hebrew name (for girls). Sarah is considered one of the most important figures in Judaism.

Mrsfrumble · 29/09/2018 01:00

Keturah. She was Abraham's wife after Sarah died.

Delilah and Miriam are great too.

Buggerbrexit · 29/09/2018 01:19

I think Adina is beautiful. Arielle. Selah (not a name per se). I love Dinah but her story is short and sad.

Sungura · 29/09/2018 01:27

Adah, Jemima, Lois, and Naomi sound complimentary to Esther. All the women's, or nearly all, have been mentioned.

moredoll · 29/09/2018 03:01

Agree that Hannah and Martha go really well with your children's names.

estrella22 · 29/09/2018 09:30

For boys I really like Reuben, Elias, Ezra and Jude. Some great girls names suggestions, we have a Hannah, Sarah, Naomi and Rachel in our families so can’t have those ones!

Naomi
Sharon

tentothree · 29/09/2018 09:42

See you've already mentioned Naomi. Maybe add Deborah instead.

Cosmoa · 29/09/2018 13:49

How about Sapphira with Saffy for short?

EinsteinsArousedSausagesHCB · 29/09/2018 14:06

Love your names OP. Smile However as you've specifically asked for Hebrew names, it seemed important to point out that, Elias is not Hebrew. Although I love the name have an Elias myself, Elias is considered to be the Latinised form and also the Greek variant of the Hebrew name Elijah.
